Series Workshop #2 | From Assessment to Integration: The Strategic Restructuring Process
December 6, 2023
to January 10, 2024
***Please Note: If you are interested in participating in the last part of this series, attendance at the following virtual sessions is required.***
While strategic restructuring and consolidations can maximize efficiency and enhance mission impact, they require an intentional approach. This second part of the Strategic Partnerships and Organizational Restructuring for Stronger Nonprofits Workshop Series consists of two virtual sessions.
During the first virtual session, participants will review the processes for implementing a strategic restructuring, consolidation, or merger – including the assessment, resolution, and negotiation phases – and then complete interactive exercises to gauge partnership readiness. Attendees will also have an opportunity to determine what type of strategic partnership to explore.
The second virtual session will focus on the agreement, implementation, and integration phases of the processes. Drawing upon case studies and direct experience, attendees will receive step-by-step guidance for organizations considering a strategic restructuring or consolidation and learn the complementary yet distinct roles that board members and executive leadership play in the process.
In this second part of the workshop series, participants will:
- learn the key phases and components of strategic restructuring and consolidation processes;
- engage in exercises to assess readiness;
- define the roles of executive leaders and board members in the process; and
- receive a toolkit and resources to guide them through strategic partnering, restructuring, and consolidation processes.
These virtual sessions are perfect for organizational teams (of 2-4 people) who have identified a strategic restructuring or consolidation they want to pursue or teams of organizations who have already identified an interest in exploring any of those strategic partnerships. The sessions will be held virtually on December 6th from 9am-11am and January 10th from 10am-12pm. Attendance at both sessions is required. The fee to participate is $50 per organization. Scholarships are available for organizations who demonstrate readiness to maximize their experience in the sessions. Registration is required. Click here to register.
