Center for Philanthropy Event Space Rentals
The Greater New Orleans Foundation has a variety of spaces available for use for organizations that are aligned with our mission. Our spaces are accessible and can accommodate gatherings of different sizes and purposes.
Below you will find a description of each space – inclusive of set-up options, capacity, and amenities. If you are interested in hosting an event at the Greater New Orleans Foundation, please fill out the space inquiry form located at the end of this page. A member of our team will get back to you about availability within 2-3 business days.
Event applications must be submitted at least one month prior to the requested event date. If you are requesting multiple dates or a series of events, please include that information in the “Notes” field at the end of the application.

Rental Policies & Guidelines
Reservation inquiries
Interested parties must complete and submit an event inquiry form one month prior to the requested event date.
The Foundation will review submitted event inquiry forms within two to three business days.
Organizations approved to host an event must sign a venue agreement to fully confirm the space, submit the appropriate event deposits, and required documentation.
Conference room availability
The Greater New Orleans Foundation’s conference rooms may be reserved for use during standard hours of operation, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Reservation requests outside of standard hours of operation may be made, but will incur extra fees for staffing and building services, and are subject to staff availability.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation is closed on weekends and holidays.
Room requests & assignments
The Greater New Orleans Foundation will make every effort to accommodate specific room requests, but reserves the right to assign and/or move events to rooms that best fit Foundation and event needs. Rental parties must contain activities and guests to only those rooms approved for their use.
Room set-up & equipment
Conference rooms are all equipped with wireless internet, AV equipment, and pre-arranged furniture. Rental parties will have 30 minutes before the event for set up and 30 minutes after the event for cleanup.
Changes to set-up require prior approval.
Decoration & signage
Signs, posters, or decorations of any kind are not to be used unless approved by the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Adhesive tape of any kind cannot be used on the meeting room walls, furniture, art or windows. In the event that proper authorization is not received and damages result, the cost of the repair and/or replacement will be paid by the rental party.
Onsite Representative
An authorized representative of the rental party reserving the meeting space must remain on the premises throughout the period for which it is reserved, including set up and break down. Should any vendor associated with the event arrive in advance of the representative, the vendor will not be admitted until the authorized representative has arrived.
Venue agreement & confirmation
Organizations, businesses, and individuals interested in hosting an event at the Greater New Orleans Foundation are required to submit the following documents prior to their event:
Business Status Documentation – Please submit one (1) of the following documents:
- Current Good Standing Certificate from Secretary of State with correct vendor name; or
- Authority to Transact Business in Louisiana.
To obtain copies of state forms you may contact the Louisiana Secretary of State.
Corporate Resolution or Proof of Signing Authority – The resolution should list the authorized signee(s) for all official business purposes approved and documented in writing by the board of directors.
For Individuals – a letter of Sole Proprietorship must be submitted instead of a corporate resolution.
Insurance: The rental party shall carry the following insurance and provide the Foundation with a Certificate of Insurance providing evidence of the coverages and endorsements outlined below:
Commercial General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate. This insurance shall name the Greater New Orleans Foundation as Additional Insured and shall include a Waiver of Subrogation in favor of the Greater New Orleans Foundation. This coverage shall apply as Primary and Non-Contributory insurance.
Workers Compensation Insurance shall include a Waiver of Subrogation in favor of the Greater New Orleans Foundation.
Coverage shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the agreement.
All organizations must provide Commercial General Liability Insurance whether incurring a rental fee or not.
Fees
A deposit equal to 50% of the total charge for the room use, additional equipment, and any other service charges are required once the reservation has been confirmed. Final payment is due no later than 14 days prior to the event. If the final payment is not received 14 days prior to the event, the Agreement may be canceled by GNOF.
For events outside of regular hours of operation, are serving food, or alcohol, overtime staffing, and building services fees also apply. Additionally, repairs or deep cleaning required post-event will incur additional fees.
Cancellation
Notice of cancellation must be received at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled event. Failure to provide timely notice of cancellation will result in a $150 cancellation fee to the rental party, which will be deducted from the Deposit. The cancellation fee only represents the use of the facility and does not include other services performed by the Greater New Orleans Foundation or an outside vendor.
In addition to any cancellation charge incurred, event organizers/organizations/businesses/individuals will be responsible to reimburse the Greater New Orleans Foundation for any additional expenses incurred by the Foundation on behalf of the event organizer/organization/business/individual prior to cancellation.
The Greater New Orleans Foundation reserves the right to cancel without penalty any scheduled event when the Greater New Orleans Foundation, in its sole discretion, deems a natural disaster, inclement weather, man-made situation and/or other conditions, warrant closure of the Center for Philanthropy for safety or other purposes. The Greater New Orleans Foundation will endeavor to provide as much notice as possible to the rental party in the event of such cancellation.
Compliance
Groups and individuals are guests of the Greater New Orleans Foundation and the use of the space should reflect that understanding. The rental party agrees to comply with all applicable rules, policies and procedures of Foundation, as determined by Foundation and all federal, state and local laws, statutes regulations or ordinances and all agencies thereof, including but not limited to those relating to the payment of taxes or other charges on tickets, admissions or in any way connected with your event. The rental party agrees to indemnify the Greater New Orleans Foundation against any and all liability, claim, loss or payment of any kind by reason of the rental party’s failure or omission to comply with any such law, statute, regulation or ordinance. The rental party understands that there are occupancy limitations in the facility and assumes responsibility for admitting only the number of persons allowed by this Agreement.
Smoking
The Greater New Orleans Foundation is a smoke-free campus. No smoking is allowed, even in outdoor areas.
Weapons or Firearms
Weapons or firearms are prohibited on Greater New Orleans Foundation property.
Parking
The Greater New Orleans Foundation does not offer on-site parking. Various street and surface parking lots are available within a three-block radius of the Greater New Orleans Foundation. Drop-off and pick-up for meeting/event set-up is available and during normal hours of operation.
Safety & security
The Greater New Orleans Foundation does not have in house security or provide security for events. Should it be determined by the Greater New Orleans Foundation or by the rental party, that security is necessary or desirable, such security must be secured and paid by the rental party. Security personnel will take instruction and direction from Greater New Orleans Foundation staff. The rental party and guests must comply with all security requests.
Security may be required by the Foundation for the following: events where alcohol is served and/or events held in the evening with 45+ people. Security may be required by the Foundation in other instances, in the Foundation’s sole discretion.
Alcohol service
The serving of alcohol, if approved, must be supervised and served by an approved, licensed caterer. Additional insurance and permits are required for events serving alcohol.
Catering
The Greater New Orleans Foundation does not provide food or beverage services. Rental parties must make their own arrangements.
Personal property
The Greater New Orleans Foundation is not responsible or liable for personal property and equipment brought or left on the property. All personal property or event specific items must be removed or discarded after the event.
Media release
The rental party’s presence and that of their meeting constitute permission for the Greater New Orleans Foundation, and authorized partners, to use any photos and audio or video recordings containing your comments and/or likeness for any purpose.
Recording
Video and audio recording requires written approval by the Foundation.
Intellectual property
Rental parties are responsible for ensuring that they have the rights necessary to use all of the content, multimedia, or other intellectual property for the event.
Printing
Print services are unavailable on site. Event organizers are asked to handle printing of all event materials prior to their event day.
Indemnification
The rental party agrees to fully indemnify, protect, defend and hold harmless GNOF and GNOF’s officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents and representatives (“GNOF Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, losses, liabilities (including attorneys’ fees associated with same) arising in favor of or asserted by or on behalf of any person or entity for bodily injury, personal injury, death or property damage arising out of or related to the event or to the use of the Center for Philanthropy by the rental party (including, but not limited to, the rental party’s contractors, subcontractors, service providers, guests and invitees), regardless of whether caused, in whole or in part, by negligence, strict liability or other legal fault attributable to any of the Lessor Indemnified Parties.
