Hurricane Milton Relief Efforts

Our hearts go out to our neighbors in Florida following the devastating Hurricane Milton that made landfall on October 8. Living in Southeast Louisiana, we are no stranger to disasters. With the help of generous donors from our region and across the country, community foundations are able to help our neighbors recover from some of the most challenging moments in their lives.

For those looking to help, we recommend supporting our partners listed below. Funding will support evolving needs, including shelter, food, financial assistance, and other services as identified by their partners doing critical work on the ground.

 

Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

Thanks to the generosity of the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Donor Advised Fund (DAF) fund advisors, the Foundation has made over $85,000 in grants to organizations serving the communities and individuals who have been so dramatically impacted by Hurricane Helene. In particular, we are encouraging donors who are interested in helping to consider our partner community foundations who have opened disaster response funds:
