Social media is an effective tool that enables users to reach wide and diverse audiences – it is particularly useful for GiveNOLA Day. This workshop, designed for all levels, will give participants the knowledge and tools needed to effectively understand, create, and execute a successful online fundraising campaign for GiveNOLA Day. Real-world knowledge, best practices, and templates that can be put to immediate use will be shared during the session.

 

Participants will leave this workshop with:

  • An understanding of the role of social media in an overall fundraising strategy
  • Knowledge on how to build and strengthen your nonprofit’s social media presence and outreach
  • Strategies on how to inspire and engage potential donors
  • Effectively utilize various platforms and tools for social media engagement

About the Presenter:

 

Mandi Cambre is a fundraising and communications professional with over a decade of experience in fundraising, communications, and capacity-building with for- and nonprofits. Mandi is currently the Director of Development and Partnerships at College Track New Orleans, as well as an independent fundraising consultant, and is a Certified Fundraising Executive. She has held previous development roles at Second Harvest Food Bank, and the United Way of Greater Kingsport, and helped launch and manage GiveNOLA Day at Greater New Orleans Foundation. Mandi serves as the Communications Chair for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater New Orleans Chapter and is on the Executive Committee of the Sassyracs. She is a NORLI Fellow, a New Leaders Council fellow, a graduate of the Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans and the Bryan Bell Metropolitan Leadership Forum, and a New Orleans Business Alliance Economic Ambassador. She lives in New Orleans with her partner, Dustin, her daughter, Evangeline, and her cat, Miette.
