AI for Impact: Building Capacity with the Five Foundations for Ethical and Effective AI

AI for Impact: Building Capacity with the Five Foundations for Ethical and Effective AI

October 22, 2025
9:00 am - 3:00 pm

In-person: Greater New Orleans Foundation, 919 St. Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130

As artificial intelligence (AI) use increases, nonprofit leaders and staff are curious about the potential of AI technology to create efficiencies, increase staff capacity and reduce staff burnout, improve program and service quality, and extend their organization’s impact. Nonprofits are trying to better understand what AI is and how best to use the technology, the ethics of using AI, the technology’s environmental impact, and how AI can reshape user authenticity and intellectual property.

This interactive workshop offers nonprofit leaders and staff the opportunity to better understand AI and explore if and how AI can be used to expand their organizational impact. During this workshop, attendees will:

  • Learn what AI is and explore AI tools in real time;
  • Discuss the ethical implications of expanding and integrating AI technologies;
  • Learn the “Five Stages of AI Adoption”;
  • Hear how local nonprofits have implemented AI tools; and
  • Begin to develop an AI integration action plan for their nonprofits.

This workshop is designed for nonprofit leaders and staff who are interested in exploring if and how their organizations should integrate AI, and their participation in the workshop will be prioritized over other registrants.

The session will be held in person on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 9:00 am-3:00 pm at the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Center for Philanthropy (919 St. Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130). A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Free parking will also be available. While this workshop is free, registration is required. Seating is limited. Click here to register.
