Shawn Wyatt

Shawn Wyatt joined the Greater New Orleans Foundation in 2021 as our very first Operations Manager. With more than 20 years of experience in operations across recreation. education, and local government. Shawn keeps our facilities and programs running smoothly behind the scenes.

Before coming to the Foundation, Shawn spent several years directing the City of New Orleans’ recreation centers, parks, and facilities. He also played a key role in more than $180 million in citywide capital projects, including the Lafitte Greenway and Joe W. Brown Memorial Park.

A graduate of the University of West Florida with both a master’s and bachelor’s degree, Shawn is passionate about creating spaces that bring people together. Outside of work, you can usually find him on a soccer field—coaching, mentoring, or cheering on the game he’s loved for more than 20 years.
