Sam Parsons

Sam joined the Foundation in November 2025 as a Grants Associate. A 2018 graduate of Louisiana Tech University, he previously worked as a Donor Services Officer at the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and as a whitewater rafting guide and public school teacher in Colorado’s Arkansas Valley.

A native of Baton Rouge, Sam relocated from Colorado to the New Orleans area in 2025 with his wife, Courteney. He brings several years of experience in grants administration and donor services within community foundation settings. Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching soccer, supporting the local alternative rock scene, and planning his next adrenaline-filled outdoor adventure.
