Jacob Robinson

Program Officer for Workforce Programs

In 2023, Jacob Robinson joined the Foundation as the Program Officer for Workforce Programs. 

In his role, Jacob supports the Foundation’s efforts to facilitate sustainable partnerships among industry, community organizations, and government with the objective of building equitable career pathways for job seekers and employees. The Foundation’s workforce programming is particularly focused on our region’s healthcare and green infrastructure industries. 

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Jacob Robinson moved to New Orleans in 2014 as a Venture For America Fellow. Since then, he has worked for several early-stage startups and mission-driven organizations across roles in partnership development, recruitment, and curriculum design & instruction. For Jacob, the highlight of this journey has been finding purpose in helping others find and thrive in mortgage-sustaining careers. 

Jacob shared he’s felt most like a New Orleanian when serving as a mentor with Son of a Saint as well as serving at his church, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church. He is an alumnus of Duke University, where he earned a bachelor’s in public policy studies.
