Ann Thorpe Thompson

Board Member

Ann Thorpe Thompson is a native New Orleanian. Ann graduated from Isidore Newman School. She attended The University of Texas for two years before transferring to Tulane University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology. Ann received a J.D. from Loyola University School of Law.  

Ann served as a law clerk for Judge Henry J. Roberts, Jr., and Judge Frederick S. Ellis in Civil District Court.  From 2001 to 2007, Ann represented children in need of care.

  • National Council of Jewish Women Greater New Orleans Section

Ann currently serves on the National Council of Jewish Women Greater New Orleans Section Board and the Trinity Episcopal School Board. 

Ann was married to Kenneth Barnshaw Thompson III (1956 – 2022). She is the proud grandmother of Devin Shaw and Josephine, daughters of son, William Thompson, and Lily, daughter of son, Michael Thompson.
