Foundation Awards Over $3 Million in Grants from Hurricane Ida Disaster Response & Restoration Fund

Recovery from Hurricane Ida continues and the Foundation team has continued to meet with nonprofit leaders, request guidance from parish officials and partners in the impacted parishes, and conduct due diligence to ensure these nonprofits are actively responding to the unfolding disaster. The Greater New Orleans Foundation has allocated $3,182,000 in grants from its first four rounds of grantmaking, prioritizing grassroots responses led by people who are native to the impacted parishes and know their communities best.
