Felice V. Yarbough

Felice V. Yarbough, M.S. joins the Foundation as its first National Academy of Sciences’ Gulf Research Program Science Policy Fellow. She is working closely with the Environmental Programs team over the next year.

Felice earned her M.S. in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences from Oregon State University, where her research examined psychological safety, organizational culture, and the diverse narratives of BIPOC professionals in conservation. Additionally, she holds a B.S. in Agricultural Leadership and Development with a Minor in Natural Resources and Park Management from Texas A&M University. Originally from Houston, Texas, Felice eagerly returns to the Gulf Coast with big hopes to engage with and learn from communities and organizations in the Greater New Orleans region.

Over the past seven years, she has worked across government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and universities in roles spanning environmental education, partnerships, community engagement, research, and program support. Felice is passionate about building connections among research, policy, philanthropy, and community priorities to create meaningful and lasting impact. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with family and her cat- Junie, music, recreating outdoors (even in the heat), and traveling around the world.
