GiveNOLA Day

GiveNOLA Day 2023 is May 2nd!

What is GiveNOLA Day?

GiveNOLA Day, an initiative of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is a one-day online giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations that are making our region stronger, creating a thriving community for all. GiveNOLA Day raises money for the community, brings new donors to local nonprofits, and demonstrates that everyone can be a philanthropist. Anyone can make a tax-deductible donation to a nonprofit that has created a profile on GiveNOLA.org. The minimum gift is $10 and there is no maximum size or number of donations you can make.

In its inaugural year, more than $2.2 million was raised for more than 300 participating nonprofits from more than 19,000 donors on GiveNOLA Day. In 2022, GiveNOLA Day generated an incredible $7.9 million in donations for a record breaking 947 nonprofits from 57,000 online contributions.

Why Give as Part of GiveNOLA Day?

Every dollar donated from 12:01am to midnight on GiveNOLA.org will be stretched with additional “lagniappe” dollars provided by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and our generous GiveNOLA Day sponsors.

How much of my donation goes to the nonprofit?

All of your individual donations will go directly to the nonprofit except for nominal processing and credit card fees.

How can I become a sponsor?

In the tradition of lagniappe, sponsorship supports GiveNOLA Day by providing “a little something extra” to every donation given to each participating nonprofit. Sponsorship is our region’s greatest opportunity to help hundreds of nonprofits with a single gift. When our businesses join with people of our region, their giving is amplified for its greatest impact.
