Using Public Data
June 9, 2021
10:00 - 12:00 pm
Data is a major factor in decision making for many organizations. This workshop will explore two different public data sets that provide information specifically about the Greater New Orleans region. It will include a deep dive of analyzing two of the data sets.
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Identify a range of data sets that are relevant to the region’s nonprofit sector
- Understand how this data is collected and what tools they could use to analyze it
- Appreciate the strengths and limitations of using public data to assess program context, implementation, and outcomes
- Understand the importance of using data responsibly and disaggregating data
The workshop will be held virtually on Wednesday, June 9 from 10:00 – 12:00 pm. The workshop is free, but registration is required. Click here to register. We are proud to present this session in partnership with GC Eval, a network of evaluation practitioners based in the Gulf Coast area.
