R. King Milling served as President of Whitney National Bank and Whitney Holding Corporation from 1984 until April 2007 and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors from April 2007 until December 2008. Prior to joining Whitney, he was a partner in the firm of Milling, Benson, Woodward & Hillyer. Mr. Milling is Chairman of the America’s WETLAND Foundation, is a member of the Tulane Law School Dean’s Advisory Board, and a former member of the board of directors of the New Orleans Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is the Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Coastal Protection and Restoration, serves as a member on the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, a Director of the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Financing Corporation, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and the Trust for Coastal Stewardship. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hancock Holding Company and the Whitney Bank.
