Operation Helping Hands
What started as a volunteer organization quickly grew into a program of Catholic Charities. Operation Helping Hands has provided assistance to thousands of families post-Katrina. New Orleans East resident Gloria Cole tells a poignant story about her husband Anthony, who unfortunately passed away shortly after moving into their new home, but who was so grateful to the volunteers of Operation Helping Hands.
