The Greater New Orleans Foundation is the community foundation serving the 13-parish region of metropolitan New Orleans.

Elona is a native New Orleanian who joined the Foundation staff in early 2006. She currently works part-time in the finance department. Elona retired from Shell Oil Co. in 1991 after 27 years of service primarily in regulatory reporting. Subsequent employment included assisting the vice president of operations at a textile manufacturing company and real estate consulting for a busy appraisal office.
