Cherie F. Thompson, CPA

Cherie joined the Foundation in 2006 after six years in public accounting as an auditor. Cherie obtained her license as a certified public accountant shortly after receiving her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola University in New Orleans in 2000. She currently serves as controller for the Foundation. Cherie is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and the American Society of Women Accountants, for which she previously served on the board of directors. She currently serves on the board of directors of the Young Leadership Council after serving a term on the executive committee. Cherie enjoys fulfilling volunteer opportunities and associated memberships in the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Contemporary Arts Center, the Audubon Nature Institute, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the New Orleans Opera Association, and the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
