Professional Advisors

As a community foundation, we offer simple and significantly tax-advantaged alternatives to commercially affiliated charitable funds and private foundations, allowing donors to dedicate their gifts and time to perpetuating their values and impacting their community.

Why Partner with GNOF

We invite you to learn more about making the Greater New Orleans Foundation your partner in philanthropy.

Establishing a Fund

When you have a client who is interested in starting a fund and you recommend the Greater New Orleans Foundation, here’s how you can help them get started.  For starters, download our Professional Advisors Handbook or email Alice B. Parkerson to request a hard copy.

GNOF or Private Foundation

Families, individuals and others who are responsible for the management of a private foundation often find the administrative responsibilities so overwhelming and burdensome that they end up minimizing the foundation’s charitable impact and purposes. Learn how the Greater New Orleans Foundation can play a role in helping with the management in a cost efficient manner, and add value to the private foundation’s grantmaking.

Planned Giving

Many donors choose to leave charitable assets upon their deaths after they’re assured that loved ones have been cared for. Learn more about the various giving vehicles available through the Foundation.

Cornerstone Council

In order to better serve you, your clients, and existing donors, the Greater New Orleans Foundation created the Cornerstone Council, a forum of regional professional advisors.
