The Greater New Orleans Foundation is committed to the privacy and confidentiality of our donors, funders, constituents and website visitors and users. The Foundation implements this privacy policy to assure you of our commitment to your privacy.

The Greater New Orleans Foundation board members, staff members, committee members and affiliates have an ethical obligation to respect the privacy of its donors and to protect and maintain the confidentiality of all information about its donors, their family members and friends in the course of providing services to them.

It is our policy not to discuss or disclose donor records and donor-related business. All agreements with donors and all information concerning donors and prospective donors shall be held in strict confidence by GNOF, subject to legally authorized and enforceable requests for information by governing agencies and courts. All other requests for or releases of information concerning a donor will be honored or allowed only if permission is obtained from the donor prior to the release of such information, except that unless anonymity is requested, donors are routinely recognized by category of size of gift and grantees are identified but not by fund source. Unless the donor wishes to remain anonymous, the Foundation identifies for grant recipients the named funds from which grants are paid. Grant recipients are encouraged to acknowledge the donor whose generosity made the grant possible.
