The Greater New Orleans Foundation Wins Two Wilmer Shields Rich Awards for Excellence in Communications

New Orleans, March 17, 2010-The Greater New Orleans Foundation has been named a Gold award winner for excellence in communications by the 2010 Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program sponsored by the Council on Foundation.  The Greater New Orleans Foundation received the award for its Annual Report. The Greater New Orleans Foundation also was a Silver award winner for its newly-designed Website.

“Both the annual report and the website allow us to share information about the work we’re doing and to communicate the impact we are having in the region. We are flattered to have our communication efforts recognized by our peers in the foundation world,” said Albert Ruesga, president & CEO of the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

Sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the awards program recognizes effective communication efforts to increase public awareness of foundations. The awards will be presented in April during the Council on Foundations’ Annual Conference in Denver.
