Job Announcement: Receptionist and Administrative Assistant

The Greater New Orleans Foundation seeks an experienced Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to provide telephone and administrative support to the Foundation and its initiatives. The Receptionist and Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Office Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle and direct all incoming telephone calls
  • Set up off-site parking for internal meetings
  • Exceptional, positive, and personable telephone etiquette
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Highly organized
  • High level of attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi task in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with diverse constituencies
  • Flexibility in dealing with changing demands

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in an administrative support position required
  • Demonstrated commitment to or passion for community
  • Some college preferred or a combination of related experience
