Local Foundations Support White House Announcement

The Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation and the Greater New Orleans Foundation applaud the decision by President Obama to extend the Office of the Gulf Coast Coordinator through April 1, 2010. In our New Orleans as Model City memorandum, circulated to various administration officials, we urged the President to consider this extension. We trust the administration will ensure the Gulf Coast Coordinator’s office receives the time, tools, and support required for success. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the administration and hope that all recommendations in our memorandum receive full consideration antd support.
