Grant Goes to Heart of Fishing Community

Partnership with Women of the Storm brings Google, YouTube to Town

imageA forum is planned on September 18, 2008 at the Morial Convention Center which will use Google technology and the YouTube video platform to drive citizen engagement in the next Presidential campaign. The forum is organized by the New Orleans Consortium which is composed of Women of the Storm with the Greater New Orleans Foundation, Dillard University, Loyola University, Tulane University and Xavier University. The consortium is committed to advancing education in the New Orleans community and to continue to provide public exposure to all the rebuilding efforts in the Gulf Coast region.


GNOF Partners in New Orleans Community Wealth Workshop Series

imageThe Greater New Orleans Foundation, Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations and the Louisiana Disaster Recovery Foundation have partnered with Community Wealth Ventures of Washington, D.C., to launch a workshop series to help nonprofit organizations in New Orleans develop or grow earned-income business ventures. The revenue from such business ventures will help nonprofit organizations fulfill their missions.
