In 2007, the Greater New Orleans Foundation created a five-year, $25 million fund designated for community revitalization. With the support and participation of 20 national and local foundations, the Community Revitalization Fund has made 25 grants totaling almost $10 million dollars to support housing and community development in Orleans Parish.
