The name of The 1923 Society is based on the founding date of the organization that eventually became the Greater New Orleans Foundation. It recognizes all the caring individuals who have contributed to the well-being of our community for over three-quarters of a century. Gifts to The 1923 Society enable us to make strategic grants to nonprofit organizations that are working tirelessly to make an impact in our community and respond to shifting community needs.
