Deadline: The Community Revitalization Fund accepts Letters of Interest on a rolling basis.
Within one month of receiving a Letter of Interest, staff will respond in one of three ways:
- By requesting a full proposal for consideration
- By requesting a meeting to discuss your project
- By declining your request
The Community Revitalization Fund Grants Committee considers full proposals on a quarterly basis.
The Community Revitalization Fund at the Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) was created and is supported by leading local and national foundations concerned with the future of New Orleans. GNOF’s CR Program supports housing and community revitalization activities that will create—or are a component of—a working system that generates equitable housing and community development at scale in the City of New Orleans.
Requests for funding must do one or more of the following:
- Address a specific need or barrier to housing development
- Contribute to the capacity of government, nonprofit and/or for-profit developers to produce equitable, high-quality, mixed-income housing at scale (at least 50 units per year)
- Increase expertise and/or capacity within the housing development industry
- Deliver important information and/or technical expertise on best practices in housing and community development
- Collaborate across the public and private sectors to create innovative financing programs or housing policy that will increase the pace of the city’s repopulation
