The Greater New Orleans Foundation would like to remind agencies of the United Way that they are eligible to apply for grants from the Albert N. & Hattie M. McClure Fund held at the Greater New Orleans Foundation.
The McClure Fund supports the emergency bricks & mortar projects (e.g., repairs, replacements, and additions to facilities) of eligible United Way partner agencies. The intent of the McClure Fund is to fill the funding gap between major capital expenses requiring a capital fund drive and minor capital needs which can be planned for and included in an agency’s annual operating budget. Because of the limited nature of these funds, priority consideration will be given to those requests that are capital, in nature, and respond to a crisis and/or emergency. The guidelines and priorities were affirmed at the Council of United Way Agencies on October 6, 2004. The Greater New Orleans Foundation will consider grant requests up to $15,000.00.
