Director, Organizational Effectiveness
Job Announcement
The Greater New Orleans Foundation seeks a Director of Organizational Effectiveness to design and implement programs to strengthen the region’s nonprofit organizations, and to increase the effectiveness of the Foundation’s programmatic and grantmaking work. The Director of Organizational Effectiveness reports directly to the President.
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience providing training and support to nonprofit organizations;
- Significant knowledge of evaluation theory and practice;
- Experience designing and conducting evaluations of nonprofit work;
- Expertise in two or more of the following areas: fundraising from government and national foundation sources, strategic communications, legislative advocacy, community organizing, board development;
- Intimate knowledge of the day-to-day challenges facing not-for-profit organizations.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three years experience working to strengthen nonprofit organizations. Strong writing and public speaking skills.
